To trust, or not to trust.

only if they have a choice.

this morning i was walking otw to the ktm station. as i was looking around i saw a man get down from a taxi with lots of luggages, wearing shades. i was like , note to self, never ever wear shades that makes you look like a blind person. after awhile, the taxi driver was like "adik boleh bawa mereka naik erl ke?" he is asking me to bring the couple, apparently is the man with shades and his wife, wearing shades too.

oh god. i m really gonna get punished in some way at some time. the man does not wear the shades for fun, both him and his wife are blind. i m really really sorry.

since i wasn't in a hurry, i was like "ok" and let the lady held my arm. this is not my first time doing this, as my college area (brickfields) have quite a lot of the blind taking monorail over there frequently. the malaysia blind society is just opposite my college.but leading a pair of couple with lots of luggages, going to a destination which is quite far away (plus i m not really sure where the hell is the erl thingy). damn, this is the first time.

otw to the erl station, we made polite conversations and she feels that the station is too far away from the place that the taxxi driver dropped here. true story. before reaching the erl staion, she have to:

walk thru a uneven pathway next to a construction site of 200m--> a staircase ( bear in mind they are carrying luggages)--> walk past ktm station--> walk across of bridge at least 100m long--> take lift--> walk for another 50m again. 

its kind of annoying and tiring for us how bout to the disabled? to the elderly? to the kids?

plus, imagine if its raining heavily or they are not there at the prime time. the place can be quite deserted, from what i see if someone dragged you somewhere else, no one else will saw it. if you shout, might not be useful too cause covered by the sounds produced from the construction site or the sounds of train, lrt etc.

finally lead them to the station after asking a few passengers for confirmation.

every route to a destination is like is gamble of their trust on the others.let say i m a villain. i can actually rob them or do whatever bad stuff to them when in the lift, or, just lead them to somewhere else, where ever i pleased to. not just when comes to travelling, during daily life when they are purchasing for food, clothings etc, someone could just cheat on them taking the disadvantage of them unable to notice it. so how do they actually able to put the trust on the others? 

for us, we have a choice. if we doubt that whether the couple is a scam or not, we can actually walk away not offering any help.is our own chioce cause there is a possibility that they are not blind, they are just pretending to be the blind. they know that the route to the place including in the lift, they can bring harm to us within the few minutes in the enclosed area and flee.its possible, especially nowadays.

but for them, they have to obtain help to get to the place. its not that the place is designed for the disabled to reach their destination easily.

they have no choice, but to trust random people for example like me to lead them to their destination.

to trust, or not to trust doesn't seems to be a question for them. they don't even have a choice.

pray that one day(asap) that whatever sickness that leads to the lost of vision can be cured.
